## *Who Hit Me?* · Day 10 · Friction to Synergy hinge
---
# ▸ Act One — the Warning · panels 1 to 16
## Page One
**1.** *Morning. The bike. **Suraj driving, Kicha on the back**, threading through traffic toward the office. This is their two-hander space and they are deep in a plan.*
**2.**
**Kicha:** Ee roju. **Pinky.** Manam daaniki **warning** ivvali ra.
Suraj Ee sari over chesindi. Naa story source ni **poached** chesindi.
**Kicha:** Warning. Friendly ga. "Line daataku" ani.
**3.** *They rehearse it at a red light, both of them, with the confidence of men who have never once won an argument with Pinky.*
Suraj *(practising, stern)* Pinky. Manam colleagues. Kaani **boundaries** untaayi.
**Kicha:** Perfect. Ade cheppu.
**4.** *They fist-bump. The plan is airtight. Two grown men on a bike, certain, for the last time all day.*
---
## Page Two
**5.** *The newsroom. They walk in shoulder to shoulder, primed for the confrontation, scanning for Pinky.*
**6.** *She is not at her desk.*
**7.** *An office boy leans over.*
Office Boy:** Meeku **iddariki** — H.R pilichindi. Ippude.
**8.** *Suraj and Kicha look at each other. The airtight plan develops its first, tiny crack.*
---
## Page Three
**9.** ⭐ Cut — the H.R Room.** *And there is Pinky, already seated, composed, a printed sheet in front of her, having arrived first at the one place that matters. She got there before they even parked.*
**10.** *The **H.R Manager** — tired, fair, has seen a thousand desk feuds — looks up at the two men in the doorway.*
**H.R Manager:** Randi. Koorchondi.
**H.R Manager:** Priyanka garu oka **complaint** ichaaru. Mee iddari meeda.
**11.** *Suraj and Kicha, frozen in the doorway, watch their entire morning invert. They came to give a warning. They are receiving one.*
**12.**
Pinky *(calm, wounded, magnificent)*: Sir, vaallu roju naaku **intimidate** chestaaru. Ee roju kuda bike meeda **plan** chesukuntoo vachchaaru. Adigandi.
*(⭐ She overheard nothing. She guessed exactly right. That is worse.)*
---
## Page Four
**13.** *The boys, wrongly accused and completely helpless, do the thing guilty-looking innocent people always do: they talk over each other and make it worse.*
Suraj Sir— sir adi kaadu—
**Kicha:** Memu warning ivvadaaniki vachchaamu—
Suraj Kicha.
**Kicha:** *(realising)* …adi cheppakoodadu.
**14.** *The H.R Manager pinches the bridge of his nose. Pinky examines her nails.*
**15.** *(⭐ **The helplessness is the comedy.** They planned a warning; she filed first; now the truth — "we came to threaten her" — is the one thing they cannot say. Every honest sentence digs the hole deeper.)*
**16.** *Suraj looks at Kicha. Kicha looks at Suraj. And something passes between them — the specific telepathy of two people who have decided, simultaneously, to stop defending and start **proving.***
---
---
# ▸ Act Two — the Exposure · panels 17 to 40
## Page Five
**17.** *Suraj stands up. Not angry. Suddenly, dangerously **calm** — which is his rarest mode.*
Suraj Sir. Oka nimisham. Nenu **prove** chesthaa.
**18.** *He pulls out his phone. Kicha, catching the play instantly, pulls out his.*
**19.** ⭐ **the Gag — the Exposure.** *Because Pinky's whole complaint rests on "they intimidate me daily" — and the boys have, between them, a phone full of the actual working relationship: the desk WhatsApp group.*
**20.** *Suraj reads aloud, flat, devastating, from the group chat — messages **from Pinky**, timestamped, cheerful:*
Suraj "Rey Suraj, naaku aa clip pampu, thanks ra." — **ninna.**
Suraj "Kicha, superb story, H.R ki forward chesaa." — **monna.**
**Kicha:** "Guys lunch?" — **ee roju, poddunna.**
---
## Page Six
**21.** *The H.R Manager looks at Pinky. Pinky's magnificent composure develops a hairline fracture.*
**22.**
Pinky Adi… context.
Suraj Sir, "intimidate" chesevaallaki evaru **lunch** ki pilavaru.
**23.** *(⭐ Suraj wins — not by shouting, which is what everyone expects of him, but by being quiet and having receipts. **The one time being loud would have lost.**)*
**24.** *The H.R Manager, who wants nothing more than for this to be over, closes the file.*
**H.R Manager:** Andaroo **pani** chesukondi. Please.
---
## Page Seven
**25.** *Outside H.R. The three of them in the corridor. A truce that satisfies nobody. Pinky, cornered, does the only dignified thing left — she reframes it as a draw.*
Pinky Meeru gelavaledu. H.R **visigipoyindi**, anthe.
**Kicha:** Manam gelichaamu.
Pinky *(walking off)* Repu choodaam.
**26.** *(⭐ No antagonist. This is office life: the feud resets to zero by lunchtime and everyone half-enjoys it. She'll carpool them home next week and nobody will mention today.)*
**27.** *Suraj exhales. The adrenaline leaves. And underneath it he is, quietly, rattled — being accused, even wrongly, took something out of him.*
**28.** *Kicha, sensing it, does the Kicha thing: he changes the subject to a mission.*
**Kicha:** Rey. Ee roju gurinchi marchipo. Nenu **oka game** chooshaa, insta lo—
Suraj Tarvata cheppu ra.
---
## Page Eight — *the material store*
**29.** ⭐ Cut — Aishwarayuh.** *A building-materials store. Tiles, sanitaryware, a wall of laminate samples. **Aishwarya** in her element, a contractor's swagger, a shopkeeper already regretting the morning.*
**30.**
**Aishwarayuh:** Ee tile — square foot **yaabhai?**
Shopkeeper Madam, adi **premium**—
**Aishwarayuh:** Ade tile, road avatala, **muppai-aidu**. Nenu **site** ki padi boxes teesukunta. **Muppai.**
**31.** *The shopkeeper opens his mouth. She is already looking at the next thing. She has done this a thousand times.*
**32.** *(⭐ **Aishwarya works.** She is not a girl tagging along; she is an architect mid-job, and the bargaining is a small clinic in competence. Anudeep, if present, is a bag-carrier here, out of his depth and quietly impressed.)*
---
## Page Nine
**33.** *Anudeep is present — he came along because his Ameerpet class was cancelled and he had nowhere to be. He carries two sample boxes and watches her demolish a man over the price of grout.*
**34.**
Anudeep Nuvvu… ela ee number lu telusu?
**Aishwarayuh:** Idi naa **pani** ra. Nuvvu S.O.P ki enni drafts raashaavu?
Anudeep …padakondu.
**Aishwarayuh:** Ade. Nenu **tile** ki padakondu drafts.
**35.** *(⭐ She just put his obsessive S.O.P-editing and her bargaining on the same shelf: both are people being good at the one thing they can control. He hears it. He doesn't answer.)*
**36.** *They leave loaded with samples, Anudeep balancing boxes, the afternoon spent.*
---
## Page Ten
**37.** *Evening. All four converge at the flat door — Suraj and Kicha from the office, Anudeep and Aishwarya from the store — everyone **wrung out** by their own version of a long day.*
**38.** *Nobody has the energy to cook or decide anything. They collapse into the living room in a heap of exhaustion.*
**39.**
Suraj Naadi **worst** day.
**Kicha:** H.R nannu **accused** chesindi.
**Aishwarayuh:** Nenu **enimidi** shops thirigaa.
Anudeep Naa class **cancel** ayindi.
**40.** *A shared, comfortable silence of four tired people. And in that silence, the day's badness needs somewhere to go.*

# ▸ Act Three — the Game · panels 41 to 52
## Page Eleven
**41.** *Kicha sits up. He has been waiting all day to say this and now the room is finally soft enough for it.*
**Kicha:** Rey. Aa game. Insta lo chooshaa.
Suraj Ye game.
**42.** *He shows them his phone — a reel, a trend, whatever. He reads the concept off the screen.*
**Kicha:** Andaroo **kallu moosukuntaaru.** Okaru **kodataaru.** Evaru kottaaro **kanipettaali.**
**Kicha:** Insta lo **virtual** ga chestaaru. Kaani manaki… *(grins)* …manam **nijangaa** kodadaam.
**43.** *Beat. Everyone sits up. Even Jay, who has drifted in with a glass of water. **There is not a single Indian adult who does not know a version of this game.***
**44.**
**Aishwarayuh:** *(rolling up sleeves, dangerously happy)* Nenu **in.**
Anudeep Idi… safe ena?
Suraj Ledu. Ade fun.
---
## Page Twelve
**45.** *They arrange. Anudeep in the middle, eyes shut, palm out — the designated guesser, because he is the newest and trusts them, which is his mistake.*
**46.** *Behind him: Suraj, Aishwarya, Kicha, and — after a pause and no explanation — **Jay**, who quietly joins the line.*
**47.** *First hit. A light tap.*
S.F.X: **tap**
Anudeep …Kicha?
**Kicha:** Ledu ra!
**48.** *Wrong. Laughter. Round two. The game is on and the bad day is, panel by panel, evaporating — which is the entire reason Kicha proposed it.*
---
## Page Thirteen
**49.** *Round after round. Anudeep guessing wrong, indignant, the others cackling. Aishwarya hits with suspicious expertise. Kicha overacts his innocence.*
**50.** *And then a hit that is unmistakably harder — a real thwack — landed with the confidence of someone who has decided the game is now about winning.*
S.F.X: Thwack
**51.**
Anudeep ow **Suraj!**
Suraj *(eyes shut, serene, lying)* Nenu kaadu ra.
**52.** *(⭐ Suraj hitting hard and denying it is not a betrayal here — it's just Suraj being Suraj, and everyone knows it instantly. Light. The heavy version of this beat is gone; tonight it's pure diversion.)*
---
---
# ▸ Act Four — the Landing · panels 53 to 64
## Page Fourteen
**53.** *The game escalates into chaos. Alliances form and dissolve in seconds. Anudeep, still blindfolded, is now just being gently pummelled by everyone he trusts.*
**54.**
Anudeep Idi **andaroo** ganging up ra!
**Aishwarayuh:** Ippude telisindaa?
**55.** *He whips the blindfold off and points around the circle, accusing everyone at once.*
Anudeep Kicha! …Aishwarya! Mudamma
**56.** *Pull wide: **Muddamma**, on her way out for the evening, has paused in the doorway to watch these grown adults hit each other, with an expression of profound, maternal disappointment.*
---
## Page Fifteen
**57.** *Muddamma says nothing. She simply shakes her head once and leaves. The whole room dissolves.*
**58.** *Jay, who has been quietly winning by never getting caught, sets down his empty glass and lands the only line he says all night:*
Jay Manchi game.
**59.** *(⭐ Jay enjoyed himself. He will not say more than two words about it. But he stayed for the whole thing, which for Jay is a paragraph.)*
**60.** *The energy finally burns down. Five people, wrung out twice over — once by the day, once by the game — settling into the good kind of tired.*
---
## Page Sixteen
**61.** *Anudeep, rubbing his arm where Suraj got him, but grinning. The H.R mess, the cancelled class, the whole bad day — gone, replaced by this.*
**62.**
Anudeep Naa cheyyi noppi.
Suraj Ade proof, nenu kottaledu ani — kottina vaadiki noppi teliyadu.
Anudeep Adi… ardham kaaledu.
Suraj Naaku kuda.
**63.** *(⭐ The bad day did what bad days do in this flat: it got absorbed. Nobody solved anything. They just hit each other until it stopped mattering. **That is the household forming.**)*
**64.** Wide. Late. Everyone sprawled where they landed. Aishwarya sideways in a chair, Kicha flat out, Suraj and Anudeep on the floor, Jay against the wall with his water. Sample tile boxes stacked by the door. The fan turning.*
Caption (narration): Nobody remembered, later, who won.
Caption (narration): They remembered it was the first night the flat felt like a house.
# 📅 End Gag — "What Day is it"
*5 panels*
G.1 *Very late. The flat asleep. One lamp. Anudeep, last one up, carrying plates to the sink.*
G.2 *He passes the wall and stops. The hardware-shop calendar.*
G.3 *Close: a neat block of days crossed off in blue pen. Today is crossed off. Today's crossing is still slightly wet.*
G.4 *He counts silently with one finger. Twenty-two days.*
G.5 *He looks around the dark, sleeping flat. There is nobody awake to have done it.*
*He puts the plates in the sink and goes to bed.*
