Are there any problems in M.X master 4 that I should be aware of?

I'm planning to buy the M.X Master 4 during the upcoming Prime Day sale. I currently own an M.X Master 3.S, but it started developing left-click issues just over a year after I bought it. I'm hesitant to spend that much money again on a mouse if it's likely to start causing problems after a relatively short time. How has the reliability of the M.X Master 4 been so far?

40040.D: Having gone through three M.X Master 3's, and watching all the strange Y.T reviews I took a chance and bought the M.X Master 4.
first impressions:
• It feels noticeably better in the hand, and thankfully Logitech seems to have ditched the rubber coating that always turned into a sticky, melty mess over time.
•The thumb scroll wheel sits slightly higher.
•The thumb button layout has changed; there are now three buttons instead of two. It's taking a bit of getting used to
•The haptic feedback is a nice touch. I have mine set to the lowest level, and it feels subtle without being distracting.
A bit pricey right now but overall, it feels like a solid upgrade.
Spiritual Show: at 9200 its not!
dilliboy87: I bought one for Rs 8585
Spiritual Show: yes with 500 coupon for few hour on first day it was unavailable! Did you buy it?

DrDavyStrange: I love mine, perhaps blindly I have to admit. The 125hz polling rate is a joke these days, if it breaks down i will research better options.

itsjustmd: Prime day is over. Am I missing something
loosu-hamilton: Just started in india.
DeliciousCut4854: Don't expect Americans to know things aren't the same as the U.S everywhere.

One_Hope 9573: Mx4 is expensive

33301Florida: Mine disconnects at least once daily. Doesn't matter if it's connected via Bluetooth or Logi Bolt. I have to keep a wired basic mouse connected for the sole purpose of reconnecting the M.X. Logitech support is a joke B.T.W.

its d1One: - It's heavy af, the 3.S was already heavier than the average mouse but the M.X.4 is just insane, we tend to get used to it but try a Keychron M.6 which is not even marketed as a 'light' mouse and you be blown away... For me it's fatiguing to use the M.X.4 8+ hours a day due to this and it's the biggest flaw.
\- Haptic feedback is very gimmicky and gets old after 2 weeks, it just contributes to the mouse being super heavy.
\- My 'back' button lost all tactility and became mushy after about 4 months but Logi support and the store i got it from was very accommodating, they just gave me a new one.
\- The new plastic outer shell is 100 times better than the old rubber one from the 2, 2.S, 3, etcetera.., it may break or scratch like any plastic but it wont fall apart with time due to simple hand oils or minor bumps.
\- Only 125hz is annoying once you try a higher rate mouse, but for most people this wont matter, in my case drawing stuff on photoshop (or similar) is so much smoother on even 400hz so unlike what people tend to say, no... higher H.Z is not just about gaming.
\- I never had major issues with disconnecting and whatnot with any M.X but it does stutter (pointer becames jumpy) sometimes, even if very, very close to the dongle (less than 1 meter).
\- The M.X 3.S/4 mousewheel is amazing, the Keychron M.6 one is terrible in comparison being able to have it notched/detented while using it slow then flicking it for infinite scroll is awesome.
\- Side scroll position is much better than the 3.S.
\- The new 3rd button is super far away from the fingers unless you got gigantic hands or fully palm the mouse reaching for it tends to move the whole mouse a bit.

traviss8: Not really a problem, but I honestly love the rubber on the 3s. The smooth plastic on the 4 is whatever. I got both new at work a couple weeks ago, and I go back and forth between the two. I think I still prefer the 3s.

robotecnik: They say the switches are the same on the 3s…
I bought a razer basilisk v3 pro and by now it works.
not as Refined as the 3s but with optical switches it should be immune to the 3s issues.
I am an industrial programmer and my 3s started making funny things with its buttons after one year +/-... I seldomly use the mouse as my work is using the keyboard and I use shortcuts for almost everything... It was a big deception.
The good of the basilisk:
- optical switches.
- same auto-switching magnetic wheel.
- you can slide horizontal scroll bars tilting the wheel.
- higher poll rate.
- no need for a companion app running all the time. You can set it up and uninstall it after as the mouse has onboard memory.
- you can turn off the lights.
- not as heavy.
the bad things:
- less premium feeling.
- more gaming looks.
niteowl360: As far as I'm aware polling rate is the same for 3.S and 4.S
robotecnik: Yes, they are the same on both Logitech mice.
traviss8: +1 for basilisk V.3 pro. Feels great in the hand, the stock skates glide nicely. Much much lighter than the Logitech ones. The optical clicks are incredibly loud on mine though, and I always double click/mis click. That's probably a me thing though lol I love it
