## Page One

**1.** *Late afternoon. **Kopitam.** The whole gang on the bench — Suraj, Kicha, Anudeep, Aishwarya — empty chai glasses in a row. Jay is not here; he is asleep before the night shift. Ravi anna clears the glasses.*

**2.** *They stand to leave, stretching, done for the day.*

**3.** ⭐ *And Suraj, mid-step, catches his **pinky toe** full-force against a **big rock painted bright yellow** at the edge of the Kopitam yard.*

S.F.X: Donk

**4.**

Suraj *(folding in half)* Ah naa **veelu!** Naa chinna veelu!

**5.** *He hops. He glares at the rock. The rock, painted a municipal yellow decades ago, does not care.*

**6.** *Wounded pride now. Suraj bends and tries to shove the rock aside so it can never betray a toe again. It does not move a millimetre.*

**7.** *He braces properly, both hands, full effort, face going red. Nothing.*

**8.** *Ravi anna, watching from the counter, delivers the local history without moving.*

Ravi Anna:** Adi eppudi nundo undi, Suraj. Memu try chesamu — kadaladu.

**9.** *And then Ravi anna, sensing entertainment and possibly a cleared table, makes the offer that starts everything:*

Ravi Anna:** Nuvvu daanini move chesthe… nee **balance** clear chestha. Ee month ki.

**10.** *Beat. Suraj straightens. A tab wiped is a tab wiped.*

Suraj …motham aa?

Ravi Anna:** Motham.

**11.** *Suraj cracks his knuckles. Tries again, alone, with the motivation of money. The rock remains exactly where it has been since before he was born.*

**12.** *He calls in reinforcement without looking.*

Suraj Anudeep. Raa. Push.

**13.** *Anudeep sets his shoulder next to Suraj's. The two of them heave.*

**14.** ⭐ *And it **moves** — barely, a grudging inch, scraping — but it moves.*

S.F.X: **grrrrk**

**15.** *This is a mistake. Because now Suraj knows it is possible, and a possible thing is the most dangerous thing in the world to Suraj.*

**16.**

Suraj *(lit up)* Kadilindi! Kicha! Raa ra, moodu mandi aithe aipothundi!

# ▸ Act Two — the Negotiation · panels 17 to 40

**17.** *Kicha, leaning on the doorframe, camera bag on his shoulder, does not move.*

Keecha Naaku enti mari?

**18.** *A fair question. Suraj, still bent over the rock, makes his pitch.*

Suraj Mana **balance** clear avuthundi ra! Free!

Keecha *Nee* balance. Naadi kaadu.

**19.** *(⭐ Kicha is right. The tab is Suraj's. Kicha owes nothing and therefore gains nothing — Suraj is trying to buy free labour with someone else's debt.)*

**20.** *Kicha, instead, turns to the actual decision-maker.*

Keecha Ravi anna. Nenu **okkadine** move chesthe — naaku em isthavu?

**21.** *Ravi anna considers Kicha — skinny, unbothered, holding a camera — and decides the odds are excellent.*

Ravi Anna:** Nuvvu okkadive kadipisthe — Suraj balance clear, **plus** neeku **nelantaa free chai.**

**22.** *A month of free chai. Kicha's eyes do a small, private calculation.*

**23.**

Keecha *(mildly)* Sare.

Suraj *(instantly suspicious)* Sare aa? Anthe? Nuvvu okkadive?

**24.** *(⭐ Kicha has agreed too easily and everyone who knows him feels it. He has a plan. He always has a plan. Nobody asks what it is — their first mistake.)*

**25.** *Aishwarya, arms folded, eyeing Kicha with the specific pleasure of someone about to watch a man overreach.*

**Aishwarya:** Eh ra. Vaadu nijangaa chesthadaa?

**26.** ⭐ **the Jinx.** *And Suraj and Anudeep, watching the same skinny man contemplate the same immovable rock, arrive at the same conclusion and say it in the same breath:*

Suraj / Anoodeep:** **Ledu.**

**27.** *A half-second of silence. And Kicha — who was handed this — pounces.*

Keecha **Jinx.**

**28.** *(⭐ House rule invoked. Two people, one sentence, one instant. Kicha called it. Suraj and Anudeep are now both jinxed — cannot speak until someone says their name.)*

**29.** *Suraj opens his mouth to protest the jinx. Catches himself. Points at his own mouth, furious, silent.*

**30.** *Kicha, savouring it, lays out the tariff — the flat's eternal unsettled argument:*

Keecha Rules gurthu undaa? Mee peru cheppakunda evaraina matlaadithe — **pinch, punch, or slap.** Mee ishtam.

**31.** *Aishwarya, immediately, on principle:*

**Aishwarya:** Adi fair kaadu. "Mee ishtam" ante andaroo **slap** ye enchukuntaaru. Bydefault slap kada?

**32.** *(⭐ The rules argument is the real comedy engine — nobody has ever agreed the penalty, and every jinx re-litigates it from scratch. Aishwarya is correct, which is why it will be ignored.)*

**33.** *And here the provocation begins. Because a jinxed Suraj who cannot speak is a balloon with the knot loosening — and Aishwarya and Kicha know it.*

**34.** *They circle him. They describe, in loving detail, how Kicha is about to move the rock Suraj could not.*

**Aishwarya:** Choodu Suraj. Vaadu nee rock ni **etthabothunnaadu.**

Keecha Nuvvu move cheyyalekapoyaavu. Nenu chesthaa.

**35.** *Suraj vibrating. Both hands clamped over his own mouth. His whole body straining against a single sentence.*

**36.** *(⭐ The entire back half of the episode is Suraj trying not to speak while everyone gives him maximum reason to. His silence is funnier than any line he could say.)*

**37.** *Kicha ignores the rock entirely. He walks off — to everyone's confusion — and returns with **a small rock** and **a long wooden plank** from behind the Kopitam.*

**38.** *Anudeep, jinxed, silently mouthing the word "physics" with dawning respect.*

**39.** *Kicha wedges the small rock under the plank. Sets the plank's end under the yellow rock. A lever. A fulcrum. Class-one, textbook.*

**40.** *Everyone leans in. **Everyone is watching now** — Suraj, Anudeep, Aishwarya, Ravi anna at the counter. Nobody looks away.*

*(⭐ This is the change from the old version: the lift is witnessed. The whole yard watches the skinny man set up his trick.)*

# ▸ Act Three — the Lift · panels 41 to 52

**41.** *Kicha puts his negligible weight on the far end of the plank. Leans.*

**42.** ⭐ *And the immovable rock — thirty years planted, defeater of Suraj, mover of nobody — **rises.** Slowly. Cleanly. Without stress. Physics does the thing muscle could not.*

S.F.X: grrr

**43.** *Kicha, one hand on the plank, does not even look strained. He looks bored. He looks like a man collecting a month of free chai.*

**44.** *The rock rolls off its ancient socket and settles a full foot away. Done. Moved. History.*

**45.** *A stunned Kopitam. Ravi anna's mouth open. Aishwarya genuinely delighted. Anudeep silently applauding with jinxed reverence.*

**46.** *And Suraj — Suraj cannot contain it. His best friend just did the impossible with a stick and Suraj has been holding a sentence in his mouth for four pages and the dam breaks:*

**47.** ⭐

Suraj Keecha Let's Go!!!**

**48.** *Silence.*

*Every head turns to Suraj. Suraj's own hand flies to his mouth one syllable too late.*

**49.** *Kicha sets down the plank with the calm of a man whose trap has closed on schedule. He turns.*

Keecha *(soft, deadly)* Nuvvu… **matlaadaavu.**

**50.** *Suraj points at the rock, at Kicha, at his own heart — a silent plea that this one should not count, look what you did, it was joy—*

**51.** ⭐ *Kicha slaps him. Cleanly. Affectionately. The tariff collected in full.*

**Anoodeep / Aishwarya:** **Abba!**

# ▸ Act Four — the Cascade · panels 53 to 64

**53.** *And the instant Anudeep and Aishwarya shout Abba together — the same word, the same breath — Kicha's head snaps around, joy incarnate:*

Keecha **Jinx.**

**54.** *(⭐ The cascade begins. Now Anudeep and Aishwarya are jinxed too. The whole gang, one by one, is being silenced by the same rule, and Kicha is the last man standing with a voice.)*

**55.** *Four people at a Kopitam, three of them unable to speak, one of them a skinny god of leverage and loopholes, grinning.*

**56.** *Ravi anna, surveying the wreckage of his afternoon, quietly wipes Suraj's balance off the notebook. A deal is a deal.*

**57.** *And now, up the lane — **Jay**, shift finished, bag on shoulder, walking home into a Kopitam full of people communicating entirely in gestures.*

**58.** *He raises a hand. A tired, friendly wave to everyone.*

**59.** *Aishwarya — jinxed, unable to greet him — panics, and does the only thing she can: she **mimes leaving,** turning away so she doesn't have to not-speak at him.*

**60.** *Jay stops. Looks at four weird silent people. Asks the only reasonable question:*

Jay …em ayindi?

**61.** *And Suraj and Kicha — the two most jinx-reckless people alive, forgetting everything, both desperate to explain at once:*

Suraj / Keecha Arey

**62.** ⭐ *And Aishwarya — jinxed, silent, but pointing, vindicated, having watched these two idiots walk into it — the most irritable finger in Hyderabad:*

*She can't say it. She doesn't have to. Jay reads her face and says it for her, flatly, understanding everything:*

Jay …jinx.

**63.** *(⭐ Jay, who has never once voted on the penalty, who has been home asleep all episode, walks in and closes the loop in one word. Everyone is now jinxed. The rules say no one speaks until named — and nobody can name anybody.)*

**64.** Wide. Five people at a Kopitam at dusk, a moved yellow rock, a cleared tab, and total silence. Ravi anna brings five chais nobody can ask for. The sun goes down on a gang that cannot say each other's names.*

# 🫙 End Gag — "the Jar

*5 panels · after the story*

G.1 *Boys H.Q, that night. The four of them on the floor. One pickle jar of coffee going round.*

G.2 *It reaches Suraj. He takes it. He opens his mouth to say something.*

G.3 *Three hands come up at once. Stop.*

**Aishwarya:** Nee peru evaru pilavaledu ra.

G.4 *Suraj's face. He had genuinely forgotten. It has been eleven hours.*

G.5 *Wide. Suraj holding the pickle jar with both hands, drinking in absolute silence, eyes murderous over the rim.*

*And in the corner of the panel, unremarked, Anudeep — mouth also shut, also un-named, and entirely happy about it.*

# 🐺 Post-credit Stinger — Todelo

*(The Wolves · 4 panels · after the episode)*

S.1 *Deep night. The flat, dark. The rule from today still technically in force until midnight — nobody has said anybody's name, so nobody has spoken since dusk.*

S.2 *The balcony. **Suraj and Kicha**, wide awake, buzzing with the unbearable energy of two people who have not been allowed to speak for six hours. A clock ticks toward 12.*

S.3 ⭐ *Midnight. The rule resets. And the first sound out of them, after all that silence, is not words — it is the two of them **howling at the moon like wolves**, full-throated, releasing an entire evening of suppressed speech in one absurd noise.*

S.F.X: Awooo

S.4 *A door opens. **Anudeep**, half-asleep, hair wild, stumbles onto the balcony to see what is dying. He takes in the two howling men. His sleep-addled brain reaches for the only tool it has left from today, and he raises one weak finger:*

**Anoodeep:** *(mumbling, eyes shut)* …jinx.

*He turns and shuffles back to bed. The wolves, jinxed mid-howl, freeze.*
