Paper2Audio's Free and Plus plans both use document-to-speech AI processing pipeline that we have engineered for better accuracy than other text-to-speech apps:
Plus is primarily for professional use: it has higher usage limits and unlocks advanced features.
The Plus plan combines enhanced features with a trust-based approach that relies on users to choose honestly:
The Plus plan is also an option for power-users who listen to more than 8 hours of audio per day on average, or if you just want to support what we're doing. Your support keeps Paper2Audio ad-free, and helps us to improve our accuracy and build new features.
On the Free plan, we can use your uploaded material to help improve the models we use to understand documents and convert them to audio, such as learning how to interpret tables, read formulas, and parse tricky formatting. The models do not reproduce your content or share it with third parties. On Plus, your uploaded documents are only used to create audio for you and are not used to improve Paper2Audio's models.

This is honestly a life saver. I have ADHD and have difficulty reading words off a page. My job requires a LOT of reading- so, I have been fooling around with TTS apps for a while and they can be very expensive. This has delivered a better product that is easier for me to set up than competitors, automatically converting only relevant text (I read academic publications, it is pretty good at filtering out citations) It also summarizes figures fairly accurately.

I think I've tried every text-to-speech app and Paper2Audio is the best. The voices are fantastic, it can handle web pages, PDFs and very large ePubs (I imported a 900-page ePub and it worked flawlessly) and I can listen offline, which I appreciate when hiking in areas without cell coverage. Highly recommended.

Best TTS Reader! Your app has been a game changer for me in my comprehension of academically difficult papers! I tried the same paper on some other top-rated apps (Speechify, Natural Reader, Eleven Reader) and they all garbled the scanned PDF I submitted. And the AI voices are top-notch. The option to switch easily between the original PDF and the transcript is very helpful.

I have a brain injury which has affected my ability to be reading on screens, and I have never been able to find an accessible text to audio source that doesn't sound awful. This is such a valuable resource for me.
